Following a review of governance arrangements to the board of Visit Northumberland Ltd, the next phase in the development of the Visit Northumberland Local Visitor Economy Partnership is the recruitment and appointment of members to meet the obligations of a new Visit Northumberland Governance structure.
The review set the scene for the development of two clear governance models:
1. Visit Northumberland Ltd, the company registered with Companies House responsible for Visit Northumberland’s operational and partnership activities; and,
2. a new Northumberland Visitor Economy Board made up of visitor economy representatives to provide strategic oversight and direction for destination development and promotion.

Visit Northumberland has two exciting opportunities for experienced visitor economy leaders who are committed and passionate about Northumberland’s visitor economy and the growth potential of the sector.
We have a number of vacancies for members who are familiar with both the challenges and opportunities that face the sector and are able to draw on their expertise to make informed decisions and suggest innovative approaches.
· Visit Northumberland Ltd – up to three Board Director roles for representatives of the Northumberland visitor economy seeking an opportunity to further their own development and embark on a Board level development opportunity.
· Northumberland Visitor Economy Board – up to 15 non-executive Board Member roles to play a significant convening role to provide strategic oversight and direction for the development Northumberland’s visitor economy.

Board Member positions are voluntary, and applications are invited from candidates who are happy to donate their time and experience for the benefit of Northumberland’s visitor economy.
