Winners of Prestigious Hadrian's Wall Design Sprint Are Announced

We are delighted to announce that Tyne To Summit C.I.C has won the prestigious Hadrian's Wall Design Sprint, helping to shape the future of Hadrian's Wall for the 21st century.

Throughout September 2024, there was a creative communications project and process, open to no more than 15 individuals working for small to medium sized businesses that were based in Northumberland, England.

With a £10,000 fully funded prize for the winner, the opportunity was to develop an idea for a brand new, sustainable product or service focussed on boosting awareness of, engagement with, and visits to the 72 mile long Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage site.

After months of build up and two very intensive development days, the finalists had to pitch their idea to six judges and industry experts.

The winners, Steph Robinson and Scott Gillan's focus for Tyne to Summit is on finding innovative ways to engage younger generations to embrace Hadrian's Wall.

We are very much looking forward to seeing how this exciting project develops!

The sprint was supported and funded through Northumberland Small Business Service, The North East Combined Authority, Northumberland County Council, Rural Design Centre and National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise.
