Monday 23rd February 2026: Taste of Northumberland is calling on the county’s best food, drink and hospitality businesses to help shape and strengthen Northumberland’s reputation as a destination for exceptional local produce. The initiative, which is launching on 24th March 2026, will bring together local producers, retailers and food lovers to celebrate the quality, diversity and provenance of Northumberland’s food story.
This new county-wide scheme is a partnership between Visit Northumberland, Food and Drink North East and Northumberland County Council, and it champions the fantastic food and drink grown, made and served here in Northumberland.
Taste of Northumberland is designed to unite businesses under one trusted regional mark; a platform showcasing Northumberland’s finest products to retailers, buyers and consumers. By joining, members can showcase authenticity with the official Taste of Northumberland logo: a trusted mark that assures consumers of genuine ingredients, artisan skill and locally sourced products.
Signing up to Taste of Northumberland places businesses at the heart of Northumberland’s food and drink story, offering not only access to events, campaign and promotional opportunities (think themed foodie trails and immersive experiences), but also a community of like-minded members across the region.

A growing and diverse number of local businesses have already signed up to the programme including: Turnbull's Northumbrian Food Hall, First & Last Brewery, The Good Life Shop Limited, Belford Village Shop & Deli, Northumberland National Park, The Angel of Corbridge, Borderland Food Tours, The Proof of the Pudding, Northumbrian Cider & Wine Company Ltd, Alnwick Brewery, The Cheese Room at Alnwick Deli, Bailiffgate Hotel, Blackfriars Restaurant, Dobson & Parnell, Ad Gefrin, The Alnwick Garden and Northumbrian Gifts.
