Eight Northumberland tourism businesses have been recognised with VisitEngland ROSE Awards 2026, celebrating outstanding customer service and memorable visitor experiences. Winners include accommodation providers from Alnwick, Hexham, Belford, Alnmouth and Cornhill-on-Tweed.

VisitEngland has today, Tuesday 8 September, revealed the winners of this year’s ROSE Awards.

In a remarkable achievement for the county, all eight winners of the prestigious VisitEngland ROSE Awards 2026 in the North East category were from Northumberland, showcasing the strength and quality of its visitor economy.
 
The ROSE Awards, which stand for Recognition of Service Excellence, celebrate accommodation providers that consistently deliver exceptional customer service. Winners are selected from VisitEngland's quality assessment scheme and are recognised for going above and beyond to create memorable stays for their guests.

This year's Northumberland recipients represent a diverse range of accommodation across the county, from luxury self-catering retreats and guest accommodation to holiday parks and campsites.

The Northumberland winners are:

  • Tiptoe Retreat, Cornhill-on-Tweed (Self Catering)
  • Warksburn Old Church, Hexham (Self Catering)
  • Curlew Cottage at Low Steads, Alnwick (Self Catering)
  • Hall Barns B&B, Hexham (Guest Accommodation)
  • Kielder Campsite, Hexham (Holiday Park)
  • Nether Grange, Alnmouth (Guest Accommodation)
  • Ord House, East Ord (Holiday Park)

The awards recognise businesses that provide outstanding customer service and exceptional visitor experiences, based on feedback, assessment scores and the quality of their overall guest offering.
